Welcome to the Fur Takers of America |
Thank you for visiting the O.F.B.A. Affiliate page of the Fur Takers of America, Inc. (FTA). The corporation was founded in 1968 and is incorporated in the state of Missouri. FTA represents thousands of members across the United States and Canada. FTA is governed by a Governing Board which consists of 5 elected officers, 15 directors who are elected, and 1 appointed representative. They are responsible for making all rules and regulations that are deemed necessary for proper or orderly conduct of its affairs and management of its property, consistent with its Charter and By-Laws. These officials are also charged with the responsibility of informing the membership of legislative concerns, both state and national, that may arise. Protecting the rights of all sportsmen is one of our goals. |
FTA uses the Chapter / Affiliate concept as our means of local organization. Wherever possible, we like to build chapter/affiliates from the local grassroots level. Many of these chapter/affiliates host monthly and/or semi-annual meetings. As a member or interested sportsmen you can attend and learn as well as socialize with fellow sportsmen. Contacts for these organizations are included in The Fur Taker, our monthly publication. The Fur Taker of America National Rendezvous, a national convention, is held yearly at various locations throughout the United States.
